The Dawson Group team wrapped up Movember raising a total of $4,223 to help change the face of men’s health, shattering their overall goal of $2,000.
Our team had fifteen official Mo Bro’s and Mo Sista’s, with many more in our companies participating unofficially.
Three of our participants Moved over 530 kilometres between them in support of the important physical activity that helps drive men’s health.
Our top grossing team member was our Manager of Equipment & Assets, Sam McGhee, who has donned a moustache on his face for decades. Sam did things a little different, setting a goal of $1,000 raised to shave off his moustache – a challenge coworkers gladly accepted.
Our second grossing contributor, Paul Dumas, a Service Advisor for IRL International in Vernon, raised an impressive $555! Contacting everyone he knew from friends and family, to coworkers and customers, earning him the title of the team hustler.
Team Captain, Brian Eshpeter, said he could not be more pleased with the results of this year’s Movember campaign.
“On a serious note, most of us know or are close with someone who has died too young. Movember is the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale and I am proud of my team’s efforts, raising over $4,000 and doubling the team goal was more than I had expected.
“Movember is also so fun! It creates a goofy team spirit in the offices, and I am sure that many of our coworkers were thankful to see our clean shaven faces this week.”
The Dawson Group would like to thank all those who donated and supported the team through the month of Movember. To check out the team’s success, please visit their Movember page at moteam.co/the-dawson-group
